Are you worried sick?

Stress Can Kill

I read another article today in the paper about how insidious stress and worry can be. You may not even realize you are under stress until you're body sends you a wake-up call with some sort of illness or even an injury. It's telling you to slow down! Hypnotists are stress management experts. Contact your local hypnotist if you have any of the symptoms of stress or excessive worrying below:

irritability
anxiety
insomnia
crying easily
smoking too much
drinking too much
forgetfulness
frequent tension headaches

road rage--What is the antidote to road rage? Try humming! Focusing on a single sound, can create the relaxation response! And turning your attention to a happy song can really change your attitude.

Stress is caused by any change in your life, positive or negative, real or imagined. This means when you worry excessively about losing your job (or house, or partner) it can be just as stressful as actually losing it! Chronic stress suppresses the immune system, which makes you more susceptible to disease and even viruses like the common cold!

No life is stress-free. But nowadays we are so busy, we must have an outlet for stress to keep it from becoming unmanageable. Exercise, meditation, a healthy diet, singing, journaling or self-hypnosis are all healthy ways to handle stress.
