Enlightened Hypnosis

Dear Friend, Student, Client or Future Friend, Student, or Client,

Happy Geriatric July!
Hope you are enjoying an
Exceptional Summer!

Welcome to the July edition of Verbal Impact. This is a monthly newsletter, published usually the first week of the month.

July 2008 Newsletter

It not my intention to send spam if you do not wish to be on this mailing list, please send me an email with “Unsubscribe” in the subject. But first, peruse it and see how much you enjoy it.

This newsletter will be a little different this month. I will publish the whole thing on my website and the article on my blog. Thank you for reading.

The theme for the month is Youth. I am focused right now on ways to improve your health and vitality. I have done a lot of research on the topic and there are many books about longevity in the bookstores right now. Most of these books are about how to take care of your physical body. This is very important, but not the only way to maintain good health for a long time. Since we are more than just a physical body, we can also extend health and vitality using mental and spiritual methods. Your attitudes and beliefs are just as important as your genes, according to Deepak Chopra, and Norman Cousins. See Quotation of the Month.

If you know anyone interested in becoming a hypnotist, learning self-hypnosis, or changing a behavior using hypnosis, please refer them to me, or www.EnlightenedHypnosis.com! Thank you.

Contents:

[1] Quotation of the Month
[2] Word of the Month
[3] Book Review
[4] Interview of the Month
[5] Article of the Month, also published on musinglog.blogspot.com.

[1] Quotation of the Month: Another great quotation:

Norman Cousins, Journalist, World Peace Advocate, Author of Anatomy of an Illness:
Belief creates biology.

[2] The word of the month is geriatric. I wonder if some of you had to look it up? It means pertaining to someone of advanced age. I like that, “advanced” instead of “old.” I am still looking for a more positive, appropriate word to replace the usual terminology. Since I am doing a presentation about the Fountain of Youth this month, and since the article of the month is about “New Terms for Old Words,” and since it sounds like it begins with a “J,” I decided to use Geriatric for the adjective for this month (see above: Geriatric July).

[3] Book Review. I have reviewed Ageless Memory, Simple Secrets for Keeping Your Brain Young, by Harry Lorrayne, in my blog: http://musinglog.blogspot.com.

[4] Interview of the Month. Temporarily on hold.

[5] Another Sizzling Summer Article.

Words for advanced age:

Ancient, Decrepit, Old,

withered, weathered, experienced, mature, wise, ripe, worn out, well-worn, antique, frail, distinguished, accomplished,
crone, fogey, dowager, curmudgeon, …
