Greetings!

This month's newsletter is all about learning. I am working on producing a CD set for Memory and Learning. This Student Success CD set will have 3 CDs:

Memory, Learning, and Test Anxiety

Boy, do I need these CDs!

I have so much to learn!

I have to learn about setting up a store (shopping cart) on my website. See products and Services Page. I also have to educate myself about accepting electronic payments and set this up, too.

[1] Event of the month:

How to use Hypnosis by Telephone or Skype

  Saturday, April 30, 2011, at 7pm
      at Books-A-Million,
    US 19, Palm Harbor, Florida

Come see a demonstration!

[2] Affirmation of the month: I am a talented test-taker; I remain calm and confident during the exam!

[3] Word of the Month -- Daunting

The philolog's choice this month is the word, daunt in its various forms.

This word has come to us through Middle English and old French from Latin. I chose this word because it is monosyllablic and uncommon.

Daunt - v. to lessen the courage of. Synonyms: intimidate, discourage, dishearten, dismay.

Dauntless-adj. bold, fearless, undaunted, daring, indomitable, brave, courageous

Example:  Taking exams can be daunting!

Test Anxiety

I am a talented test taker!

graduation

We have all take tests in our lives.  Many people are afriad to take tests. Many avoid them like the plague. The kind of test I am referring to is a written exam, especially the ones required for licenship, certification, or a master's degree, but also important tests like GMAT and GRE. Even the SAT can be daunting.

Sounds like alphabet soup! We don't even know what they stand for, but they can be intimidating!

Hypnosis can be very helpful in the test taking process. It can help you maximize your study time, motivate you to study more, and face the exam in a very confident and relaxed manner.  This is especially helpful to those who suffer from test anxiety.
